Peoww is a UK-based gaming website and was started in Sept '07 by Rich and Mark (with lots of extra help). It is based around a community of gamers who came together through weekly Xbox 360 sessions on GRAW. So I got a ZX Spectrum when I was a wee bairn and that was that. That led to lots of wasted time on the Amiga, Snes, PS1, Dreamcast and now the 360.

Could have been worse. Could have started on the Amstrad CPC464 which would have led, inevitably, towards a life of wearing beige, listening to Coldplay (hhnnnggggg!) and eventually suicide.

Self-confessed achievements whore. Shamelessly so.

Currently playing: Burnout Paradise, Tenchu Z, Geometry Wars 2, Fifa '09.

Most wanted: Resi 5, Two Worlds 2 (shut up, it's going to be amazing).

Also living in the past but this time with C64 memories. Mark is the dark side of the Peoww but he knows his games and initially cut his teeth writing the Leisure Junkie column for 'Weekender' magazine. Check out his regular 'Perfekt Past' feature for knowledge.

If Peoww's a community, then Colin is the police. But good police, pronounced poh lease. He keeps the forum in check and writes stream-of-consciousness reviews about things like Jumper.

The quiet man of Peoww, Gareth communicates literally only with whispers and squeaks. A veteran of many a GRAW campaign and something of an expert at driving games, RPGs and scrolly on-foot shooters like some freakish gaming ninja.

Part welsh/part viking, Lurk's another of Peoww's old guard with a love of retro games and presumably pillaging towns on the south coast (and then fixing their gardens).

Most wanted: Resi 5, GOW2, Fallout 3 and Duke Nukem: Forever (its been over 10 years and I'm still holding onto the dream to play it before my 50th birthday).

Gitty may not be as strict on games (see Assault Heroes 2) as his NAT settings seem to be but frankly every site needs a GitForceGemini and thankfully we've got him. He loves his games and then trades them before it gets too serious. Like some sort of gaming Samantha Jones.

Steven is one of the old-school GRAW players from back in the day who initially got this community going has recently become quite the regular contributor with his PS3 reviews and features. He also bought a Wii and a 360. He just likes that new console smell.

He likes his J-RPGs but also tries his hand at any game, usually whilst laughing like a cross between the Jolly Green Giant and Eddie Murphy.

Fave ever games: Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, Pokemon Red/Blue, Phantasy Star Online and Goldeneye.

Currently playing: Spore, Too Human, Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise, Audio Surf.

Most wanted: Tomb Raider Underworld, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, Final Fantasy XIII, Fable 2, Mad World, Project Origin, Velvet Assasin.

What can you say about Tiq that isn't already documented by the courts? He's the youngest old-school gamer at PEOWW and he brings the dkadeoww. Much like some sort of reverse gaming Nostradamus you can pretty much set your watch by the fact that if he says a game will be good, it'll be a fucking lemon!

Tiq was raised by an Amiga 500 and as such was never taught how to deal with your so-called human society but he knows that five means average and he'll school you on any rhythm action game you care to mention. Especially anything with dancing in it and ponies.

Entering the forum or reading any of our articles will probably get you sacked if your boss walks past. Although browsing quality sites is clearly what the working day was invented for.

Because we're gaming spods just like everyone else, have got day jobs and we know what it's like to buy a lemon we're not about to give a half-assed review based on demos, previews or a five minute play round a mate's house.

We review out of ten, we aim to get a good understanding of the games we review, five genuinely is the average and shouldn't be considered awful and we aren't going to rush to get an exclusive. Most importantly, everything gets two opinions. A main review and a counterpoint. They don't always agree, but this is gaming. No-one agrees, right?
